Efficiency Manitoba Rebate For Your Home’s Windows and Doors

What is the Efficiency Manitoba Rebate Program?

With the Efficient Manitoba Rebate, homeowners across Winnipeg can say “goodbye” to air leaks and “hello” to natural gas and electricity bill savings. The rebate is offered to incentivize the replacement of outdated, inefficient windows and doors with new, energy-efficient models. 

Winnipeg homeowners who have recently upgraded, or are looking to upgrade to high-efficiency windows and doors may qualify for financial support. These rebates can be applied to the purchase and installation of select ENERGY STAR-certified windows and doors. These $100 rebates can be applied to the following purchases, including, but not limited to:

• ENERGY STAR Certified windows with (at least) triple pane glass
• ENERGY STAR Certified entry doors with (at least) triple pane glass
• ENERGY STAR Certified sliding glass doors with (at least) triple pane glass

    

How Much Could I Qualify For?

Should you qualify, you can receive a $100 rebate on each opening (window or door), up to $2,000, which would also result in energy bill savings.

Can I Still Qualify If I’m Participating in the Canada Greener Homes Grant?

Efficiency Manitoba has partnered with Manitoba Hydro’s Home Energy Efficiency Loan. Therefore, Winnipeg homeowners participating in the Canada Greener Homes Grant may still qualify for the Efficiency Manitoba Rebate. 

How to Participate in the Efficiency Manitoba Rebate:

1. Read the eligibility criteria to see if you qualify.
2. Ensure your desired ENERGY STAR Certified window and/or door products qualify 
3. Buy and install your eligible products before applying
4. APPLY for your rebates

Eligibility Checklist:

ELIGIBLE ✔️	NOT ELIGIBLE ❌
Select ENERGY STAR Certified windows and doors with (at least) triple pane glass	Unoccupied homes
Your application and invoice have been successfully submitted and received within 90 days of the final invoice date	Apartments, vacation rentals, outbuildings
Eligible products are installed in your (or your tenant’s) primary residence	Seasonal homes, cottages
Eligible windows and doors must replace existing windows and doors between indoor and outdoor spaces	Windows or doors installed in new openings; not replacing existing ones
Each qualifying opening (window or door) qualifies as one rebate; windows with multiple window sections count as one opening
A total of up to 20 eligible openings can be rebated per property over a lifetime (20 openings x $100 rebate/opening = $2,000 maximum)
